WE PROVIDE SERVICES TO THE ENERGY INDUSTRY IN THE UK & NETHERLANDS

Our clients and customers rely on us to provide uninterrupted support, even in the middle of a storm.

We operate in all manner of environments, from gas plants, heliports and airline lounges to platforms, FPSOs, floatels and drilling rigs where thousands of workers spend a long time away from their family and friends. We also support our clients in their offices onshore.

Safety Comes First

'We have an unrelenting commitment to giving our people the perfect start, welcoming them into our energy family and keeping them safe.'

Ronnie Kelman, Business Director

Safety is paramount in the energy sector. These are dangerous environments and ingraining a safety culture is more than just training tasks, it’s about ensuring that our teams understand and believe in doing things safely, for the sake of the whole community.

Allan Errington is the HSEQ Manager for ESS and shares his knowledge and experience as Co-Chair of the Step Change in Safety Competence workgroup. The group seeks to raise standards of safety through enhanced products across the oil and gas industry.

CREATING A COMMUNITY OFFSHORE

Many of our offshore customers spend weeks away from home at a time. We work hard to make their living environments as comfortable and welcoming as possible, providing an opportunity to wind down and socialise with colleagues over great food and clean, comfortable accommodation in which to relax and rejuvenate.

Our teams become a part of their site communities, always looking out for the well being of customers and colleagues. They recognise the potential challenges of living offshore and promote our Wellness programme to address all aspects of well being, from reducing stress and improving sleep to making healthier dietary choices and taking regular exercise.

A PASSION FOR LOCAL PRODUCE

Since joining Compass ten years ago, ESS Energy's Culinary Director Graham Singer has been a proud advocate of Scottish suppliers. We may be producing meals in the middle of the North Sea, but this doesn’t compromise the quality of the food we deliver.

Our ethos of using great local suppliers doesn’t stop with the products themselves but extends to supporting the producers. Through Graham’s work leading Compass in Scotland, we help to promote these small businesses to our customers, other Compass sectors and the general public at food shows and festivals.

We believe it’s important to support the local economy from a social enterprise perspective and with produce this good it makes sense to use it!
