ESS Defence, part of Compass Group UK & Ireland, has announced three charity partners with which it will build long-term working relationships.
The nominated organisations have been carefully selected as they closely align with the ESS Defence business and resonate with its customer base. The company will support strategic project activity, as well as undertaking a range of fundraising across its estate.
ESS Defence’s new strategic charity partners are:
ABF The Soldiers’ Charity – The Army’s national charity for soldiers, former soldiers and their families.
The RAF Benevolent Fund – The RAF's leading welfare charity for all serving and former members of the RAF and their families.
The Royal Navy Royal Marines Charity – The principal charity of the Royal Navy which supports serving and former sailors, marines and their families.
The company will also continue its support for SSAFA through Compass Group UK & Ireland.
ESS Defence supports over 250 military establishments across the UK, from Cornwall to the north of Scotland. These include operational, headquarters and training environments in partnership with the Defence Infrastructure Organisation and other industry providers.
Mark Webster, Managing Director – ESS Defence, Government Services, Offshore & Remote, commented:
"ESS has a long history of working with the UK Armed Forces, providing a wide variety of Soft FM services to our military personnel across the country. Contributing to the communities in which we operate is important to us, whether that means helping to look after the physical and mental welfare of our customers and the wider defence community or providing practical support for people in their day to day lives.
Our teams are already involved with a considerable amount of charity work at their sites, so we have taken the decision to formalise this activity and work with three strategic partners where we believe we can make a real difference."
